I've been asked to help with a TARC (Team America Rocketry Challenge
http://www.rocketcontest.org/) team sponsored by the Memphis chapter of the NSS.
Can someone help fill me in on what is the status of the launch site at Shelby Farms?
Is it still available?
What is needed to have a launch out there?

Jim, please feel free to contact me to discuss the use of the field for a TARC team.  I served as a TARC sponsor for a high school team in New Jersey for two years.  It's a great program and I'm delighted that we have a local team interested.  I have just returned to live in the Memphis area (I was president of the MSRS until 2002, at which time I transferred to the New York area).  Please feel free call my home number to discuss further - 901-853-8595.

Great to hear someone is around who has done this before! I've been spending all my waking moments through the holidays working (FedEx) but am back in the real world again and will be following up with you on this.
